About

Welcome to EU Law and Arbitration!

My name is Miriam Driessen-Reilly and I am a qualified Solicitor (Dublin), a former member of the Brussels Bar and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (London). I work as an Official for the European Commission, DG Competition, as a lawyer in the Cartels Directorate (Brussels).

This website is a place where I collect my own articles on issues related to Arbitration or Mediation, whether on a domestic or European level. Anything I publish here reflects my own opinion only and cannot be attributed in any way to my employer, the European Commission. If it appears here, it means that it has been authorised for publication under a code of conduct, on the basis that it reflects my personal views only.

In addition to my own articles, from time to time I will also include articles from other lawyers and arbitrators. These do not necessarily reflect my views, but those of the author only.

All articles are subject to copyright.
